GrEaT NeWs On ThE hOrIzOn

Yesterday, 6-21-2012 , Braxton had his MRI appointment to be at, that had been schedualed for 2 weeks.  We had to be in the pre-op room by 9:30 AM, to prep him to have to be sedated. He was super excited to be able to hear the MRI sounds. They gave him some "happy meds" before the ride down stairs, so that hopefully, he wouldn't care to be taken away from mom and dad at the MRI station. Well, All went as planned, and he was super excited to see the MRI machine. THe radiologist team allowed Braxton and Skyler to throw a tennis like ball ( was told it was filled with metal shavings) into the MRI room.. and see the reaction of them throwing it in by a magnetic machine. Both kiddos thought that was super neat-o!  Braxton was super ready for them to take him back to a room to be sedated ( take a nap and breathing candy flavors.). It was really hard for me to let them take my baby out of my arms to sedate them.  Dad, Skyler and I watched Braxton clutching on to his elmo and holding on to the Radiologist going back to a room for sedation, and we smiled and waved and said ," HAVE FUN BUD!" The look on his face was pure happiness.

Post MRI procedure, it was the hardest thing for me to see. I was standing in the hall waiting for him to come down in a bed after waking up. The look on his face broke my heart. He was so confused coming out of sedation. He was an emotional mess. Crushed me, his mama! We had to stay in the room for about an hour waitng for the the sleepy med to ware off more.. WOW, that was an experience. There was a time, when he insisted I took a bite out of his grahm cracker... He had forgotten, that just seconds / a min. before, he took that little crunch out of the cracker.. BOY, he was very mad at me. Anyways,  he forgot about it. Braxton did become an emotional little boy when he figured out that he did not hear the MRI sounds.. So, we promised him that on Dads next day off from the Site, we will take him back to the hospital and see if the Radiologist will allow Braxton and Skyler to sit and hear the sounds it makes while someone is having the scan done.
OH! He thinks the MRI Machine looks like a Star Wars thingy majig.

BEST NEWS EVER!!!
We hadn't even made it out of TOYS r US ( he really wanted to go to toysRus right after we left the hospital..) He picked out a DS game, and some candy, and a spiderman plush toy. Skyler, being very well mannered through this rough day and boring day for him, he got to pick some toys out also! The Best NEws came in through the phone..... Our Family Doctor called and after reviewing the scan the radiologist got to him, he told me there were no abnormalities, though he did have a significant amount of inflammation in his sinus cavities.  WHEW!! So, we began a course of antibiotics. SIGH OF RELIEF!!!!
